Our anaesthesia perioperative ultrasound fellowship aims to equip and advance skills in diagnostic perioperative point of care ultrasound (POCUS)
We offer 6- or 12-month fellowships which are tailored at supporting fellows in obtaining recognized national and international standards, such as the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) PG47 (for 6-month fellowships) through to the American Society of Anesthesiologists Diagnostic POCUS Certificate Program (or equivalent) for 12-month positions.
Fellows receive regular dedicated teaching in POCUS by experienced faculty and protected learning time, whilst also being encouraged to perform POCUS examinations as appropriate within normal daily clinical practice. This includes exposure to transthoracic echo (TTE) and limited and basic transoesophageal echo (TOE), as part of a broad scope of POCUS.
